    Local preliminaries to Miss Texas and Miss America   

 Fort Worth & Coppell's  Outstanding Teen

To become Miss Texas' Outstanding Teen, a contestant must first win a local competition, a process requiring personal commitment, hard work and talent. More than twelve thousand young women participate each year in the local and state events, culminating in the selection of 51 national finalists who vie for the Miss America's Outstanding Teen title in Orlando, FL. It only costs you $150 to compete in the Fort Worth / Coppell's Outstanding Teen program.  All you need is commitment, perseverance, talent and ambition!

To compete you must:

Be between the ages of 13 and 17 years of age but not more than a Junior in High School.  You may not turn 18 prior to  the state pageant which normally begins around the end of June.

Be a United States citizen. 

Meet residency requirements for competing in the state of Texas. 

Meet character criteria as set forth by the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Organization. 

Be in reasonably good health to meet the job requirements. 

Be able to meet the time commitment and job responsibilities as set forth by the local program in which you compete.
